Seed Garlic

Seed garlic is now available to pre order online for delivery from mid September onwards. We have a fantastic selection of growing garlic this year including a NEW Heritage type from the Black Sea named Lyubasha. It produces beautiful white and purple bulbs and is an extremely hardy variety. Easy peeling cloves and a warm flavour, we think this is going to be very popular with our garlic growing customers!
Out in the field our own garlic trial beds are looking good and some are being harvested as we speak. Lots of exciting new garlic types that we may see included in next years selection.

Our main Isle of Wight garlic crop is also being harvested between the wet spells and we have some beautiful, large Iberian Wight and Elephant bulbs coming out of the ground. Both are available in the farm shop and soon to be online too.

Projects

On the farm we have some great new projects and events coming up including our Local Producers Supper on the 9th July. If you're holidaying on the Isle of Wight that weekend and looking for a chance to eat out somewhere special this is a wonderful opportunity. One of those rare occassions when we open the restaurant for evening dining! Experience an amazing 3 course menu inspired entirely by the fantastic producers we have here on the Island. In other news we are just weeks away from finishing installing a new Luxury Yurt on the farm. Hidden in a field behind the Garlic Farm this beautiful yurt was hand made on the Isle of Wight by the Island Yurts. It sleeps up to 4 people in a kingsize bed and two single beds on a mezzanine deck, great fun for the kids. This is a real glamping experience with wood burning stove, kitchen, ensuite toilet and shower and the Garlic Farm restuarant just moments from your door! You can book a stay in the yurt from 18th July until the end of October. It's booking up fast but still some availability left.
