Family farm tours - let us show you around

This May half term, why not join us on one of our farm tours with the family members who run different aspects of The Garlic Farm. We would love to show you around and tell you more about what we do here. Each tour will have a specific focus based on the expertise of the guide.

You can purchase your tour tickets from the farm shop on the day, first come first serve. £5 per adult, children under 14 go free.

Tours start at 11am by the shop entrance. Tours are roughly 40 minutes and will involve a short walk around The Garlic Farm land. Questions are encouraged which we will answer as best we can depending on our areas of expertise. 

25th & 26th May - Colin Boswell, Founder of The Garlic Farm, will tell you about the history and ancient history of the farm, archaeological finds and the natural wonders all around us. 

27th May - Josephine Boswell, daughter of Colin & Jenny Boswell, founder of The Garlic Farm Field Kitchen, market gardener, composter and permaculturalist. Jo will tell you all about compost, food waste and soil health. 

28th May - Hugo Boswell, son of Colin & Jenny Boswell, as well as hosting holiday guests in our cottages and yurts, Hugo looks after the woodland and trees on the farm and will tell you about our agroforestry projects as well as our WET system installation.

29th May - Barnes Edwards, son-in-law of Colin & Jenny Boswell, director of The Garlic Farm, cow-herder and soil lover. Barnes will focus on the role of livestock within garlic growing rotation & the amazing power of pasture.

30th May - Natasha Edwards, daughter of Colin & Jenny Boswell, director at The Garlic Farm and author of several garlic books. Tash will tell you all about what happens at the farm and answer any of our questions about growing and cooking with garlic. 

31st May - Barnes Edwards, son-in-law of Colin & Jenny Boswell, director of The Garlic Farm, cow-herder and soil lover. Barnes will focus on the role of livestock within garlic growing rotation & the amazing power of pasture.
